The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= October 10. 2004 12:00AM Emos Lirette [Photo] Emos Joseph Lirette, 65, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of Chauvin, died at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, 2004. Visitation will be from 3 to 10 p.m. Monday at the K.C. Hall in Chauvin and 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Judy Lafont Lirette of Chauvin; two daughters, Caprise L. LeBlanc and husband, Brian, of Houma and Colleen L. Dugas and husband, Clark II, of Bourg; one brother, Octave "O.J." Lirette of Houma; two sisters, Una L. Rogers of Raceland and Lana L. Pellegrin of Houma, and one grandchild, Matthew LeBlanc. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley and Bernice Hebert Lirette; and one sister, Shirley L. Matherne. He was a retired machinist who worked with Surbo Tubular for 37 years and a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a 3rd degree St. Joseph Knights of Columbus member. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Chauvin Funeral Home are requested. Donations can be sent to the funeral home at 5899 La. 311, Houma, LA 70360.
