Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Mulberry Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, James "Larry" and Katherine Courtney of Birmingham, Ala.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Chyrel and James "Art" Frens of Baton Rouge and Lydia and Ronald "Ronnie" Voigt of Houma; seven grandchildren, John Courtney, Shannon Courtney, James Frens, Jeremy Frens, Jack Frens, Courtney Kraemer and Taylor Foret; and seven great-grandchildren, Gillian, Emma and Isabel Courtney, Katherine, Abigail and Emma Frens and Rogan Kraemer. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.F. "Jack" Courtney; her parents, George and Minnie Cox; three sisters, Della Duncan, Mattie Standfast and Lillie Evans; and three brothers, David, George and Dennis Cox. She was a beloved mother, wife and homemaker and will be sorely missed. She was loved by everyone who knew her. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
