Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, with burial in Halfway Cemetery. He is survived by his father, Elmer J. Brunet Sr. of Houma; four brothers, Elmer J. Brunet Jr. and wife, Sheila, John P. Brunet and wife, Marilyn, Steven A. Brunet Sr. and wife, Maggie, and Derrell J. Brunet Sr. and wife, Josie; two sisters, Linda M. Brunet and Marlene B. Verdin and husband, Lawrence; and numerous relatives. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marguerite LeBoeuf Brunet; his grandparents, Albert Brunet and Lillian M. Brunet, Jodah J. LeBoeuf and Agnes Comeaux LeBoeuf. He was a fitter and welder and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
