Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Betty Dupre Desselle of Houma; one son, William Patrick "Moo" Desselle of Bourg; one daughter, Susan Desselle Neil and husband, Myron, of Chauvin; three brothers, Webster Desselle of Moreauville, Dowing Desselle of Bordelonville and Mac Desselle of Lake Charles; four sisters, Louise Haskins of Shreveport, Mary Armand of Bordelonville, Marion Roddy of Houma and Annie Mazarac of Raceland; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ovide L. Desselle and Pauline Bordelon Desselle; two sons, Lester J. Desselle Jr. and Pete Dupre Desselle; three brothers, Ovide Jr., Malcom and Albert Desselle; and two sisters, Normi "Bunny" Olivier and Betty Desselle. He was a retired pipeline supervisor and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
