The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= October 27. 2004 12:12PM Mary Walker Mary Sullivan Walker, 78, a native of Philadelphia, Miss., and resident of Houma, died at 8:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25, 2004. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at McClain Hays Funeral Home in Philadelphia. Religious services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial in Cedar Lawn Cemetery. She is survived by one daughter, Sherry T. Callahan and husband, Eugene, of Houma; five grandchildren, Christopher Tolar and wife, Kimberly, of Houma, Darlene Conn and husband, Kelly, Shannon Tolar and Newana Pierre, all of Houma, and Carlo Tolar of Lafayette; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Walker; her parents, George Thomas Sullivan and Docia Leuna Whitehead Sullivan; one daughter, Elizabeth Tolar; four brothers, Josh, Roy, Abbie and Thadus Sullivan; and four sisters, Edna Pearl Smith, Azzilene Edwards, Evie Arledge and Lillie Kitchens. She was a retired LPN and was Baptist. Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
