The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= October 07. 2004 12:43PM Pearly Monic Pearly Ruby Monic, 82, a native of Kingelly Village, Guyana, and resident of Houma, died at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2004. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Community Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at the House of the Lord Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in West Coast Bricebe in Georgetown, Guyana. She is survived by two sons, Alvin Monic and wife, Bertha, of Houma, and Gladston Monic of Kingelly Village; three daughters, Louretta Dublin and Alma Monic, both of Kingelly Village, and Willie Mae Castle of Houma; 24 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Monic; her parents, Aubrey Frances and Myra Frances; one son, Albert Monic; one daughter, Ilene Lewis; one brother, John Frances; and two sisters, Minnette Frances and Rose Frances. She was a candy and pie maker.
