Picou Sr., 67, a native of Houma and resident of Chauvin, died at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004. Visitation will be from 4 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Chauvin. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in St. Elie Cemetery in Chauvin. He is survived by three sons, Roy Picou Jr. and wife, Dedi, Ricky Picou Sr. and wife, Fay Ann, of Chauvin, and Joseph Anthony Picou and wife, Daniella; two daughters, Debra Dupre and husband, Hubert Jr., of Chauvin and Brenda Cunningham and husband, Timmy, of Houma; one brother, Emile Picou Jr.; two sisters, Violet Authement and Gladys Domangue; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Ledet Picou; his parents, Emile Picou Sr. and Phrozee Chaisson Picou; two sons, Raymond and Aaron Picou; four brothers, Armond, Irly Sr., Jessie and Noland Picou; and four sisters, Mickie Rhodes, Bernice Hebert, Earline Bernard and Lucile Quick. He was a retired commercial fisherman and was Catholic.
