"Mike" Thomas, 89, a native of Berwick and resident of Schriever, died at 11:15 a.m. Monday, Oct. 25, 2004. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Chauvin Funeral Home. A Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. He is survived by one son, Corrie Thomas and wife, Dawn, of Harahan; three daughters, Jackie T. Boudreaux and husband, Gerald, of Thibodaux, Dottie T. Hebert and husband, Ray, of Houma and Debbie T. Benoit and husband, Edgar, of Covington; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Landry Thomas; his parents, Robert Thomas and Celeste Angeron Thomas; two brothers, Jesse Thomas and Roland Thomas; and one sister, Ethel T. Keller. He was a retired draftsman/surveyor with Carl Heck Engineers and was a U.S. Marine veteran of World War II. He was a parishioner of St. Bridget Catholic Church.
