Carnes, 67, a native of Larose and resident of Cut Off, died at 3:27 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Vance Carnes; one son, David Paul Carnes; four daughters, Ann C. Bernard, Susan C. Bouffanie, Rita C. Bruce and Mary Sue Carnes; one brother, Philocles Nacio; three sisters, Elenora Atchly, Jean Geschazo and Amy Billiot; and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jean Baptiste and Feda Ozemia Verdin Nacio; one son, Billy Nacio; three brothers, Jean, Norman and Anthony Nacio; and one sister, Marie Boudreaux. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church.
