August Danos

August "A.J." Danos, 78, a native of Cut Off and resident of Larose, died at 
11:45 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Our Lady of the 
Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the 
church, with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Lauravie Cheramie Danos; two sons, Glenn Danos and 
Emmett Danos; two daughters-in-law, Charlene and Stacy Danos; three daughters, 
Laura D. Dantin, Jennifer D. Cheramie and Lorrie D. Cheramie; three sons-in-law, 
Jerry J. Dantin Sr., Jessie Cheramie and Rickey Cheramie Sr.; two brothers, 
Harris Danos and Robert Danos; three sisters, Ruth Charpentier, Eugine Guidry 
and Judy Adams; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four step-
grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Armand and Vela Trosclair Danos; one 
brother, Emmett "Sue" Danos; and two sisters, Genieve Ramagoze and Mae Duet.

He was a World War II Army veteran and was a member of the V.F.W., the 4th 
degree Knights of Columbus, Holy Name Society and American Legion.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
