Bernice Adams						[Photo]

Bernice Bourgeois Adams, 78, a native of Chacahoula and resident of Schriever, 
died Monday, Nov. 8, 2004.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Lawrence 
Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in 
the church cemetery.

She is survived by her companion, Allen Blanchard; six daughters, Grace Yount 
and husband, George, of Toledo Bend, Jane Theriot and husband, Enos "Bud", of 
Bayou Dularge, Nancy Marcel and husband, "Buddy", Patty Melancon and husband, 
Michael, of Houma, Tammy Richardson of Chacahoula and Tess Daigle and husband, 
Dean, of Schriever; one brother, Percy Bourgeois and wife, Marie, of Thibodaux; 
one sister, Cecila Pitre and husband, Milfred, of Donner; 19 grandchildren; 26 
great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin J. Adams; her parents, Leo 
Bourgeois and Odilia Bertrand Bourgeois; three brothers, Joseph, Clarence and 
Lionel Bourgeois; and five sisters, Rosalie Bourgeois, Lillian Bourgeois, Mabel 
Bourgeois, Felicie Benoit and Lorrena Boudreaux.

She was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
