Gerald Melancon					[Photo]

Gerald "Big G" John Melancon, 65, a native of Houma and resident of Schriever, 
died at 7:40 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, 2004.

Visitation will be from noon to funeral time Thursday at Thibodaux Funeral Home 
Chapel. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with burial 
in St. Gertrude Cemetery.

He is survived by one son, Scott James Melancon; two daughters, Annette 
Poindexter and Dawn Melancon; one sister, Genevieve Matherne; seven 
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Dora Thibodaux Melancon; and 
one brother, Donald Melancon.
