James Lirette

James "Buck" Lirette, 55, a native and resident of Houma, died at 2:08 p.m. 
Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004.

Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time 
Saturday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday 
at the funeral home, with burial in Morgan City Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Linda DeHart Lirette of Houma; two sons, James Lee 
Lirette of Alabama and Timothy Paul Lirette of Houma; two daughters, Christal 
Matheny and Tammy Duplantis, both of Bayou Vista; two brothers, Donald and 
Douglas Lirette; six sisters, Chyanne Pierron, Nancy Seago, Dianne Deshotel, 
Drusella Martin, Louella Landry and Barbara Cooper; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Lirette Sr. and Josephine 
Virginia Voisin Lirette; one brother, Francis Lirette Jr. and two sisters, 
Madora Domangue and Maybelle Roddy.

He was a member of West Houma Lions Club.

He was Catholic.
