Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Religious services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in Rogers Matherne Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Candy Lynn Lodrigue Nelton of Bourg; his parents, Alley Nelton Sr. and Beulah Rodrigue Nelton of Montegut; two daughters, Harley Nelton and Irene Nelton of Bourg; seven brothers, Alvin Nelton and wife, Brandy, of Bayou Blue, Alley Nelton Jr. and wife, Leona, of Texas, Ricky Nelton and wife, Peggy, Russell Nelton and wife, Loretta, of Montegut, Richard Nelton, David Nelton and fiancee, Jackie, of Houma and Jessie Nelton and wife, Monica, of Pointe-aux-Chenes; and seven sisters, Tina Verret and husband, Nollie, Katie Nelton of Montegut, Lou Ann Naquin of Alabama, Amy Rodrigue and husband, Tommy Jr., of Houma, Shelly James and husband, Roy, of Texas, "Teedee" Dupre and husband, Steve, of Chauvin and Rochelle Allen of Shreveport. He was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Nelton; and his grandparents, Alvin and Uzelia Nelton. He was a painter and blaster with Jubillee Enterprize and was a commercial fisherman. He was a member of Full Gospel Church.
