Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Annunziata Catholic Church in Houma, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. She is survived by one son, Gerald Jeffery Schouest of Houma; one daughter, Elizabeth S. Vaughn of Houma; two sisters, Leona Songy of Houma and Amy Oettli of Baton Rouge; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jefferson J. Schouest; her parents ,Joseph Fabius Martin and Alida LeCompte Martin; one daughter; Dorothy Viola Schouest; one brother, Forrest Martin; and four sisters, Hildred M. Schmitt, Lydia Martin, Stella LeBouef and Edwina Blanchard. She was a retired retail sales associate with A.M. & J.C. Dupont. She was a member of Holy Rosary and Annunziata Ladies Altar Society, a former Catechism teacher and a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
