Visitation will be from 4 to 10 p.m. Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Poiencot Cadiere of Houma; two sons, Larry J. Cadiere and Mark T. Cadiere and wife, Lori, of Houma; one daughter, Patsy C. Hebert of Houma; two sisters, Odilia C. Babin and Shirley C. Babineaux of Houma; and six grandchildren, Steven Hebert, Brittney Cadiere, Devin Cadiere, Marcus Cadiere, Payton Hebert and Davey Hebert. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Napoleon Cadiere and Jennie Pitre Cadiere; three brothers, Wilbert E. Cadiere, Harris J. Cadiere and Shelby J. Cadiere; and three sisters, Leola C. Babin, Viola C. Lirette and Marie Cadiere. He was a retired tug-boat captain for Tim Cenac and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a volunteer for East Park Recreation Center and a recipient of World War II Victory Medal. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
