Visitation will be from 2 to 10 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Knights of Columbus Hall in Chauvin. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, with burial in St. Elie Cemetery in Chauvin. She is survived by her husband, Jean J. Charpentier; one son, Timothy Charpentier and wife, Connie; two daughters, Jackie Prosperie and husband, Burt, and Claudette Blanchard and husband, June; two brothers, Albon and Ferrell Carlos; two sisters, Geraldine Duet and Gail Authement; 10 grandchildren, Angela Rogers and husband, Melvin, Penny Thibodeaux and husband, Ricky, Amy Toney and husband, Don, Marla Ruiz and husband, Ray, Ronnie Blanchard and wife, Angela, Rhonda Norberg, Kevin Blanchard and wife, Nikki, and Teddy, Nicole and Kurt Charpentier; and 12 great-grandchildren, Mandy and Andrea Rogers, Regina and Cody Thibodeaux, Ashley and Johnette Naquin, Rhett and Malorie Ruiz, Dylan and Jace Norberg, Payton Blanchard and Teddy Charpentier Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Pitre and Valerie Babin Pitre Carlos; her stepfather, Bartholomew "B.J." "Babe" Carlos; one brother, Harvey Pitre; one sister Merdeline LeBlanc; and one great-grandchild, Macie Lyn Blanchard. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Ladies Altar Society and Ward 7 VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
