Richard John Rodrigue Sr., 57, a native and resident of Houma, died at 12:19 a.m. Monday, Nov. 1, 2004.

Visitation will be from 3 to 10 p.m. Thursday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 
8:30 a.m. to funeral time Friday (contact Chauvin Funeral Home for place and 
time of services at 868-2536).

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Dufrene Rodrigue of Houma; his father, Reynold 
"Rod" Rodrigue and companion, Rowena Naquin, of Houma; his mother, Shirley Price 
Peterson of New Roads; one son, Richard John Rodrigue Jr. of Houma; seven 
daughters, Lacey Rodrigue, Ashley Dufrene, Monica Eskind, Nikki Rodrigue, 
Krystal Rodrigue of Houma, Kimberly Champagne of Chauvin and Tammy Potter of 
Baton Rouge; one sister, Jackie Williams of California; one half-sister, Nicole 
Naquin of Houma; two stepsisters, Missy Hines and Sharon of Houma; his 
grandmother, Anna Lee Price of Bourg; and 16 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Collum LeBoeuf; and his 
grandfather, Herbert J. Price.

He was a retired boat captain for Dewey Rodrigue and was a member of Evergreen 
Lions Club for 20 years.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.
