The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= December 25. 2004 11:01PM (NOTE: Listed under 26 Dec 2004 on WWW} Beatrice Broussard [Photo] Beatrice Rhodes Broussard, 94, a native of Montegut and resident of Houma, died at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass will be at noon Tuesday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis H. "Foots" Broussard; her parents, Jean Ludgar Rhodes and Cordelia Pitre Rhodes; two brothers, Kirby Rhodes Sr. and Percy Rhodes; one sister, Thelma Rhodes Lapeyrouse; one niece, Linda Lapeyrouse Chauvin; two great-nieces, Gay Marina Savoie and Katie Lynn Rhodes; and one great-great nephew, Brenden John Tabor. Although she had no children of her own, she cared for many like they were her own. She was a Merle Norman consultant and a member of the Stinkers Social Club, the Krewe of Hyacinthians, the Krewe of Flames and the Lions Club. She was a homemaker, a Catholic and a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
