Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Monday at Stanley-Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton. He is survived by one daughter, Tonya Arnold and husband, Milton, of Houston; three sons, Gary and wife, Kitty, of De Funiak Springs, Fla., and Douglas and Mitchell and wife, Toni, all of Houma; seven sisters, Doris Cook of Clinton, Clara Jones of Borger, Texas, Iva Tesson, Georgia Thomas, Joyce Steinie and husband, Alvin, all of Canadian, Maxine Larsh of Iowa Park and Willa Fitch of Locust Grove, Okla.; one brother, Eddie Davenport of Clinton; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Washington Davenport; his parents, Celia H. and Florence Bettis Davenport; and one brother, Bobby Davenport. He worked in the oil fields and owned and operated Westside Lawn Mower Repair until 2003.
