Doris Sergent						[Photo]

Doris Marie Jones Sergent, 51, a native of Raceland and resident of Houston died 
Friday, Dec. 3, 2004.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Mount Zion Baptist 
Church in Raceland. Service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial 
in the Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery in Raceland.

She is survived by her parents, the Rev. Charles and Rose Jones of Raceland; one 
son, Tyler Evans Sergent of Houston; three sisters, Shelia and husband, Ernest 
Jackson, of Marrero, and Angelia and Berniece Howard of Thibodaux; four 
brothers, Benjamin Howard and wife, Ponice, of Arcadia, Gerrard Howard and wife, 
Denise, Henry Howard of Kenner, and Earl Howard of Washington, D.C.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Earnest and Druzella Clay Smith, 
and Charles and Viola Stripplen Jones.
