Early Matherne

Early J. Matherne, 84, a native of Lockport and resident of Cut Off, died 
Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic 
Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in the church 
cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Irene Bychurch Matherne; three sons, Ernest, Edward 
and David Matherne; two daughters, Claudette Hebert and Louella Doucet; three 
sisters, Winnie Toups, Anna Mae Boquet and Thelma Guidry; 11 grandchildren; and 
11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aurthur and Orelia Dufrene Matherne; 
one granddaughter, Angela Doucet; and 10 brothers, Edward, Norris, Nolan, 
Stanley, Gilbert, Morris, Harris, Colbert, Roland and Roy Matherne.

He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
