The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= December 21. 2004 12:00AM Eddie Brister Eddie Maxine Leathers Brister, 74, a native of Bogue Chitto, Miss., former resident of Houma and resident of McComb Extended Care Nursing Home in McComb, Miss., died at 4:45 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004. Funeral services were scheduled for 2:30 p.m. today at Union Primitive Baptist Church in Jayess, Miss., with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by three sons, Edward M. Brister Jr. and his wife, Elaine, of Denham Springs, Richard D. Brister and wife, Barbara, of Lafayette and Kyle M. Brister and wife, Kristy, of Scott; two daughters, Barbara B. Walker and husband, Rusty, of Lafayette, and Wanda B. Rachwal and husband, Zigmunt, of Rye, N.Y.; one brother, Nathan Everette Leathers and wife, Dollye; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Madison Brister Sr.; her parents, Asa Edgar Leathers and Rosie Reynolds Leathers; one sister, Irene L. Tullis; and one brother, Asa Edgar Leathers. She was the executive housekeeper at Terrebonne General Hospital and South Louisiana Medical Center. She was a member of Christ Gospel Church in Kenner and Union Primitive Baptist Church in Jayess.
