Joseph Orgeron Jr., 74, a native of Lockport and resident of Raceland, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. Hilary of Poiters Catholic Church in Mathews. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial at Holy Savior Cemetery in Lockport. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marguerite Babin Orgeron; one son, David Orgeron and wife, Kay Orgeron; two daughters, Pauline Marcel and husband, Jerry Marcel, and Paula Loupe and husband, Kirk Loupe; two brothers, Roland and Ernest Orgeron; two sisters, Beulah Griffin and Eula Blanchard; and five grandchildren, Casey Schouest, David Orgeron Jr., Travis Orgeron and Trent and Lindsey Loupe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Esnair J. Orgeron Sr. and Lorida Thibodaux Orgeron; and one brother, Eugene Orgeron. He was a parishioner of St. Hilary of Poiters Catholic Church and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
