Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by two sons, Warren Buquet and wife, Teresa, and Wayne Buquet of Houma; two daughters, Wanda Pertuit and husband, Keith, and Winona Simpson and husband, Michael, of Houma; two brothers, Gilbert Buquet of Mississippi and Gibson Buquet of Westwego; two sisters, Alice Lopez and Delphine Woolsey of Harvey; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Orgeron Buquet; his parents, Enest Buquet and Emily Pierce Buquet; and one sister, Malvin Orgeron. He was a retired carpenter with Lapeyrouse Home Improvements and was a former Cub Scout Leader and was a drummer. He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
