The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= December 09. 2004 12:43PM John Lapeyrouse [Photo] John Joseph Lapeyrouse, 39, a native and resident of Houma, died at 6:34 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, of accidental suffocation. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. Eloi Catholic Church in Dularge. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his fiancee, Audrey Matherne of Larose; his mother, Rose Mae Stringer of Houma; three sons, U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Devin M. Lapeyrouse, stationed at 29 Palms, Calif., and daughter-in-law, Mindy Lapeyrouse of Houma, Travis John and Brandon Michael Lapeyrouse, both of Houma; two brothers, Don "Sput" Anthony Lapeyrouse of Houma and Kevin Mitchell Lapeyrouse of Houma; two sisters, Connie Scott of Houma and Margaret LeBouef of Houma; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father, Reynold G. Lapeyrouse; and one brother, Robert "Sonny" John Lapeyrouse. He was Catholic. In lieu of flowers, donation to the family to help with funeral expenses are preferred. Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
