Kate Benoit

Kate Marie Louise Landry Benoit, 83, a native of Labadieville and resident of 
Thibodaux, died at 8:55 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Thibodaux Funeral Home and from 8 
a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Thibodaux.

Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial at St. Joseph 
Cemetery.

She is survived by two sons, Elwood and Larry Benoit; three daughters, Karen 
Stokes, Darlene Stevens and Charlotte Schulz; seven grandchildren; and five 
great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lionel Benoit; her parents, Sabin and 
Celina Fremin Landry; one brother, Adam "Fan" Landry; and three sisters, Noelie 
"Noonie" Chiasson, Edith Ackerman and Mary Ann Fields.
