Trahan, 82, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Chauvin, died Friday, Dec. 24, 2004. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time today at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin. Mass will be at 11 a.m. today at the church, with burial at St. Elie Cemetery in Chauvin. He is survived by two daughters, Sheryl Olivier Raily and Laura Swire; two sisters, Amy T. Price and Allie T. Portier; three grandchildren, Gary Olivier Jr., Donna Pinell and Jeremy White; two great-grandchildren, Cody and Brad Songe; and two great-great-grandchildren, Dylan and Tate Songe. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dulcie Lapeyrouse Trahan; his parents, Alexander and Ozelia Pontiff Trahan; five brothers, Wallace, George, Anatole, Wilson and Avison Trahan; and three sisters, Annie T. Sevin, Odelia T. Toups and Mary T. Price. He was a parishioner and usher at St. Joseph Catholic Church and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Ward 7 Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus. Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
