Lodia Cheramie

Lodia G. Cheramie, 94, a native of Leeville and resident of Galliano, died at 
10:20 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time 
Wednesday at Golden Meadow United Methodist Church. Religious service will be at 
10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery.

She is survived by one son, Robert "Bess" Cheramie Sr.; one daughter, Lorita C. 
Dugas; two daughters-in-law, Hazel F. Cheramie and Jacqueline Cheramie; one 
sister, Frances G. Cheramie; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 13 
great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edison J. Cheramie; her parents, Tim 
and Josephine Orgeron Griffin; one son, Raleigh "Bess" Cheramie; two sons-in-
law, George Bouffanie and Louis Dugas; four sisters, Amelia G. Perrin, Eva G. 
Martin, Nola G. Pitre and Almena G. Martin; one grandson, Charles A. Cheramie; 
and one great-grandson, Brandon Cheramie.

She was a member of Golden Meadow United Methodist Church.
