Thomas Tonia Jones Jr., 86, a native of Plaquemine and resident of Houma, died 
at 11:10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004.

Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time 
Wednesday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Chauvin. Religious service will be 
at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the hall, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.

He is survived by one son, Tony J. Jones Sr. and wife, Stephanie Verdin Jones of 
Houma; one stepdaughter, Sharon Domangue and husband, Human, of Houma; one half-
brother, Stanley W. Jones of Plaquemine; two sisters, Sadie Mae Templet and 
huband, Lionel Templet, and Mary Lou Mendoza of Plaquemine; one half-sister, 
Nora Hilda Jones Williams of Plaquemine; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Allie Trahan Jones; his parents, Thomas T. 
Jones Sr. and Belle Persilver Jones; one stepson, Terry A. DuBois; two brothers, 
Ernest Allen Jones and Claude Ray Jones; two half-brothers, Horace Jones and 
Odom H. Jones; and two sisters, Mable Ruth Jones and Bessie Jones Doiron Nevels.

He was retired after working with heavy machinery, a U.S. Army veteran of World 
War II and a member of the American Legion.
