The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= January 14. 2005 12:00AM Deamon Simmons Deamon Russell "Mon" Simmons, 34, a native of Houma and resident of Dulac, died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005. Religious services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke Baptist Church in Bayou Black, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his parents, Daniel and Gertrude Simmons Jr. of Gray; four sons, Drew Jordan, Marquise, Marlon and Tristian Simmons, all of Houma; three daughters, Danielle Simmons of Lafayette, Khamryn Simmons of Houma and Danyke Symone Simmons of Houma; two brothers, Daniel Simmons III and Desmond Simmons, both of Gray; one sister, Dedra Dana Antoine of New Orleans; and his companion, Rachel Deon. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Daniel and Helena Simmons Jr. and Russell and Hazel Porche. Simmons was a student at Southern University in New Orleans and a member of St. Luke Baptist Church.
