Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Monday in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers in Lafayette. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the chapel with burial in St. Frances de Sales Cemetery No. 2 in Houma. He is survived by his wife, Vickie Joy King of Lafayette; three sons, Errol J. King Jr. and wife Leslie of Baton Rouge, Vance T. King of Orlando, Fla., and Eric J. King and wife Stephanie of Thibodaux; one step-daughter, Kellie S. Letsos of Houston; one step-son Troy C. Bonvillain of Littleton, Colo.; three brothers, Vernal J. King Jr. of Georgia, Levy J. "PeeWee" King of Houma and Randy King and wife, Jane, of Houma; one sister, Diane Dryden and husband, Jack, of Houma; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernal J. King Sr. and the former Hazel Marcel; one daughter, Angela Kim King; one sister, Susan Ann King; and one step- son, Beau Bryant Bonvillain. He worked for LA Land and Exploration in Production for 28 years prior to his retirement. He was presently employed as a court bailiff in the Lafayette Parish Court House.
