Garlington, 76, a native of Basile and resident of Lockport, died at 3:41 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Holy Savior Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by her husband, JB Garlington; two daughters, Betty G. LeBlanc and husband, Jeffrey Jr., and Sandra G. Degruise and husband, Blaine; one sister, Stella Ledoux; and five grandchildren, Michelle LeBlanc, Ben LeBlanc and wife, Jessica, Jacob LeBlanc, Jon Degruise and Amanda Degruise. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennie and Dorceline Langley Marcantel; and one half-sister, Eva Reed Prejean. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. She was a retired teacher from Lockport Lower Elementary and Holy Savior School. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lockport Lower Elementary School or Lockport Upper Elementary School. Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
