Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m., with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Louise Poiencot Bonvillain of Houma; five sons, Eugene Murphy Bonvillain Jr., Aurelie "A.J." Bonvillain and wife Carmen, Perry Bonvillain, John Bonvillain and wife Florence, and Kenneth Bonvillain and wife Debbie of Houma; two daughters, Brenda Voisin and husband Royce of Houma, and Connie Trahan and husband Darrell of Gulfport, Miss.; one brother E.J. Bonvillain of Houma; one sister, Bell Gervais of Marrero; 33 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Bonvillain and Idel Leonard Bonvillain; five brothers, Hewitt Bonvillain, Ivy Bonvillain, Francis Bonvillain, Norris Bonvillain and Lawrence Bonvillain; four sisters, Cecile Bonvillain, Irene Bonvillain, Effie Bonvillain and Clavia Brunet; one grandson and one great-granddaughter. He was a retired rigger with McDermott, a U.S. Army veteran and an East Park Volunteer fireman. He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
