Gerfie Talbot

Gerfie LaGrange Talbot, 90, an native of Labadieville and resident of Schriever, 
died at 9:35 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, 2005.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Bridget Catholic 
Church in Schriever. Mass will be at noon Monday at the church, with burial in 
the church cemetery.

She is survived by two sons, E.J. Talbot and Steve Talbot and wife, Bonnie; 
three daughters, Marilyn Thibodaux and husband, Paul, Barbara Boudreaux and Liz 
Benoit and husband, Nolan; one sister, Lorraine Naquin; 12 grandchildren, Terry, 
Donny and Todd Thibodaux, Jeff Borne, Clark Talbot, Stephanie Butcher, Trudy 
Ordoyne, Gregg Boudreaux, Angie Talbot, Rachel Zimmer, and April and Allison 
Benoit; 19 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo "T-nom" Talbot; her parents, 
Ernestine B. and Sidney LaGrange; one daughter, Ernestine "Tina" Talbot; one 
brother, Dolphy LaGrange; one sister, Effie LaGrange; and one grandson, Bryan 
Boudreaux.

Her life was one of love, friendships, devotion and courage. She believed that 
family was everything, and she taught the values of love and respect for each 
other, good character, hard work and the love of God.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
