Helen Watkins

Helen Burdis "Lil Bit" Watkins, 64, a native and resident of Napoleonville, died 
Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time today at New Belmont Baptist 
Church in Labadieville, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her mother, Helen Cooper Burdis of Labadieville; two 
daughters, Regina Watkins and Paulette Starks of Labadieville; four sisters, 
Francis Davis, Elaine Burdis, Diane Fair of Napoleonville and Gloria Jacquot of 
Thibodaux; one brother, Rhula Birdis Jr. of Labadieville; two sisters-in-law, 
Gertrude and Florence Burdis of Labadieville, two brothers-in-law, Wilbert Lewis 
and Jimmy Watkins; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other 
relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam Watkins Jr.; her father Rahula 
Burdis Sr.; three brothers, Walter Burdis Sr., Andrew Burdis and Rehula Burdis 
Jr.; and two sisters, Eliska Lewis and Rosa Bell Burdis Watts.

She was an Assumption Parish school food service worker.
