Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Community Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with burial in Crescent Farm Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Moore; three sons, Darren P. Franklin, Francis Franklin and Darnel Franklin; one daughter, Tonia S. Franklin; eight brothers, Zack Scott, James Scott, Leroy Maize, Steven Nixon, Kevin McPherson, Ronald Maize and Allen and Corey Nixon; three sisters, Delores M. Thomas, Brenda L. Maize and Debra Nixon Boyd; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Scott and Caldwell Maize Sr.; two brothers, Donald M. Scott and Caldwell Maize Jr.; and one sister, Mary L. Scott.
