James Stowe

James L. Stowe, 75, a native of Humble, Texas, and resident of Conroe, Texas, 
died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Metcalf Funeral Home in 
Conroe. Pallbearers are Jeremy Fishback, Eric Stowe, James Fishback, Juan 
Vasquez, George Allen Stowe Jr. and John Gregory. He will be eulogized by Pvt. 
Wayne E. Fishback II.

He will be cremated.

He is survived by two daughters, Ann D. Fishback and Jamie L. Stowe; two sons, 
Mike Pitts and Doug Pitts; four grandsons, Jeremy Fishback, Wayne Fishback II 
and wife, Sarah, James Fishback and Eric Stowe; four grandchildren, Hollie 
Sposito, Jennifer Pitts, Sarah Pitts and Joshua Pitts; one great-grandson, Cole 
Michael Pitts; one brother, Jim F. Stowe and wife, June; one sister, Norma 
Gregory and husband, Johnny; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and 
friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Leona Stowe; and one brother, 
George Allen Stowe.

He worked for Otis/Halliburton for 30 years, then semi-retired where he worked 
for Sam's Club.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean campaign.

Metcalf Funeral Directors of Conroe is in charge of arrangements.
