Visitation will be from 2 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Chauvin. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, with burial in St. Elie Cemetery. He is survived by one son, Timothy Charpentier and wife, Connie; two daughters, Jackie Prosperie and husband, Bert, and Claudette Blanchard and husband, June; one brother, Murphy Charpentier; three sisters, Flossie Foret, Irene Foret and Azalie Tivet; 10 grandchildren, Angela Rogers and husband, Melvin, Penny Thibodeaux and husband, Ricky, Amy Toney and husband, Don, Marla Ruiz and husband, Ray, Ronnie Blanchard and wife, Angela, Rhonda Norberg, Kevin Blanchard and wife, Nikki, Teddy Charpentier, Nicole Charpentier and Kurt Charpentier; and 12 great-grandchildren, Mandy Rogers, Andrea Rogers, Regina Thibodeaux, Cody Thibodeaux, Ashley Naquin, Johnette Naquin, Rhett Ruiz, Malorie Ruiz, Dylan Norberg, Jace Norberg, Payton Blanchard and Teddy Charpentier Jr. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mavis Charpentier; his parents, Jean and Elda Charpentier; one brother, Claude Charpentier; one sister, Jeanne Lapeyrouse; and one granddaughter, Macie Lyn Blanchard. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the V.F.W. and Ward 7 Citizens Club. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
