Jim Shiflet

Jim H. "Capt. Rusty" Shiflet, 58, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2005.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time 
Tuesday at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs. Funeral service will be at 10 
a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Miriam Shiflet; his mother, Ruth Shiflet; two sons, 
Jim Shiflet Jr. and Daniel Shiflet and wife, Bridgette; one daughter and son-in-
law, Sherri and David Spitale; two stepchildren, Shari and Becky Akins; two 
brothers, Don and Bert Shiflet; one sister, Ann Hohensee; 11 grandchildren and 
step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jim J. Shiflet.

He was a retired Georgia Pacific employee with 28 years of service and was a 
charter captain.

He was a U.S. Vietnam veteran.
