The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= January 12. 2005 12:00AM Lena Chauvin [Photo] Lena Marie LeBouef Chauvin, 83, a native of Pointe-aux-Chenes and resident of Montegut, died at 5 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005. Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today at Montegut Fire Station and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by two sons, Curvin "Brud" Chauvin and wife, Bernadette, of Montegut, and Perry Chauvin and wife, Linda, of Raceland; two daughters, Judy Chauvin Belanger and husband, Leonard, of Chauvin, and Dennia "Deanie" Chauvin Smith and husband, Ted, of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Loches LeBouef and Edward LeBouef of Pointe-aux-Chenes; two sisters, Thelma Dupre of Montegut and Ester LeCompte of Pointe-aux-Chenes; 15 grandchildren, Tanya Whatley, Brandi Chaisson, Kandi Chauvin, Andy Chauvin, Stacie "Becky" Clay, Ryan Chauvin, Kristi Falgout, Curt Bourg, Shannon Breaux, Michelle Belanger, Lynn Belanger, Scott Chauvin, Eric Chauvin, Lance Cpl. Byron Smith, USMC, and Shelly Smith; and 17 great- grandchildren, Curtis Chauvin, William Chauvin, Reed Whatley, Adam Chaisson, Siera Chaisson, Jacob Pierron, Ayden Chauvin, Scott Clay, Chloe Clay, Kiera Falgout, Brooke Bourg, Megan Bourg, Collin Breaux, Kayli Breaux, Colten Breaux, Jenna Belanger and Lynn Belanger Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Malvin J. "T-Lut" Chauvin; her parents, Clarify LeBouef and Clothilde Naquin LeBouef; one son and daughter-in- law, Curtis Chauvin and Charlotte Ledet Chauvin; five brothers, Camille, Leon, Calvin, Luby and Errol LeBouef; and one sister, Inez Authement. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, past member of the Sacred Heart Ladies Altar Society and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother, wife and friend who will be sadly missed by all who loved her. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
