The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= January 11. 2005 12:48PM Leonard Bergeron [Photo] Leonard Francis "Moon" Bergeron, 68, a native of Southdown Plantation and resident of Houma, died at 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. He is survived by one sister-in-law, June Williams; 13 nieces, Brenda Boudreaux, Christina Ledet, Bonnie and Sarah Brien, Angel, Anette, Angelle, Kendra, Melissa, Kayleigh, Kinley and Lauren Bergeron and Heidi Bundy; and 11 nephews, Phillip Bundy, Blayne, Clark Jr., Travis, Cale, Allan Michael and Bryson Bergeron, Blake, Brett and Blayne Brien and Roland Boudreaux. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Effie Taylor; his parents, Maurice Joseph and Mary Mabel Eschette Bergeron; three brothers, Donald Anthony, Ernest Joseph and Clark Joseph Bergeron Sr.; one brother-in-law, Lonnie T. Bundy Jr.; one sister, Lois Rita Bundy; and one sister-in-law, Josie LeBoeuf Bergeron. He was a retired electrician with 20 years of service with Southdown Sugars and was a U.S. Army veteran serving two tours of duty in Germany. He loved being with family and friends, watching Saints and Louisiana State University football, going to his camp "La Bonne Vie" at Grand Pass for a good time fishing, playing Pitty Patt, boiling seafood and enjoyed "The Good Life." Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
