Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by one son, Ronald Songy and wife, Jerri, of Belhaven, N.C.; two daughters, Barbara Nelson and husband, T.J., of Houma and Carolyn Carte and husband, Ralph, of Paradis; one half-sister, Amy Otelli of Baton Rouge; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Anthony Songy; her parents, Fabus Martin and Alida LeCompte Martin; one brother, Ivey Martin; one half- brother, Forrest Martin; four sisters, Hildred Schmitt, Stella LeBoeuf, Selma Schouest and Lydia Martin; one half-sister, Edwina Blanchard; and one grandson, Will Songy. She was a retired seamstress for Duponts, a member of the Ladies Altar Society and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
