Mary Pertuit

Mary V. Peruit, 73, a native of Bayou Dularge and resident of Raceland, died at 
10:52 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, 2005.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Mary's Nativity 
Catholic Church in Raceland. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with 
burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by five sons, Samuel Pertuit Jr., Harvey Pertuit Sr., Ellis 
Pertuit Sr., Hank Pertuit and Emile Pertuit; six daughters, Cheryl P. Richard, 
Marie P. Walker, Charlene P. Ferreira, Amanda P. Shefcyk, Emily P. Dufrene and 
Colleen P. Zeringue; four brothers, Frank Verrett, Larry Verrett, Westly Verrett 
and Jorry Verrett; and three sisters, Sarah V. Levron, Bessie V. Burke and 
Addeline Heinemeye; 27 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Pertuit Sr.; her parents, 
Dennis P. Verrett Sr. and Celina Verrett Verrett; two brothers, Dennis P. 
Verrett Jr. and Wally Verrett; and one sister, Eula Mae Verrett.
