Maxine Johnson						[Photo]

Maxine Sims Johnson, 61, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died Wednesday, 
Jan. 5, 2005.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Moses Baptist Church 
in Thibodaux. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with 
burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, James Johnson Sr. of Thibodaux; two sons, Jason 
and Jarrod Johnson of Thibodaux; one sister, Ernestine Washington of Thibodaux; 
one stepsister, Diana Carter of Thibodaux; one stepbrother, Elward Carter of 
Thibodaux; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Olivia Carter; her stepfather, Thomas 
Carter; one son, James Johnson Jr.; and one brother, Morrell Carter.

She was a member of Moses Baptist Church.
