Melinda Whitfield

Melinda Bullock Whitfield, 45, a native of Hattiesburg, Miss., died Thursday, 
Jan. 6, 2005.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg. 
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with burial in 
Highland Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, David Whitfield of Hattiesburg; her mom, Helen 
Bullock Housley of Hattiesburg; two daughters, Melissa Wyman Dunford and 
husband, Wayne, of Navarre, Fla., and April Wyman Simoneaux and husband, Tex, of 
Houma; one son, Samson David Whitfield of Hattiesburg; two grandchildren, Dylan 
Dunford and Savannah McReynolds, both of Navarre; three step-grandchildren, 
Felysha, Ashley and Donnie Simoneaux, all of Houma; one sister, Trish Harris and 
husband, Bubba, of Mobile Ala.; one brother, Floyd David Bullock Jr. and wife, 
Lisa, of Hattiesburg; one half-brother, Thomas Bullock and wife, Tina, of 
Purvis, Miss.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd David Bullock Sr.

She was a longtime resident of Hattiesburg and Slidell. She was a homemaker and 
was a member of The Harvest Church.

Moore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
