The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= January 13. 2005 12:00AM Polignac Arceneaux [Photo] Polignac John Arceneaux, 57, a native and resident of Houma, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2005. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Antill Arceneaux; three stepchildren, Justin Doiron, Clinton Doiron and Margeaux Doiron; three brothers, Myron Paul Arceneaux of Baton Rouge, Michael Arceneaux of Houma and David Arceneaux of Houston; two nieces; four nephews; and sponsor of exchange student, Carolina Junqueira of Brazil. He was preceded in death by his parents, Polignac Joseph Arceneaux and Helen DuBois Arceneaux. He was a retired boat captain and welder and was a U.S. Army veteran. He attended Terrebonne High School and was in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne "Screaming Eagles" in the Vietnam War. He voluntary enlisted in the armed forces and served two tours of duty in the Vietnam War. He was a highly commended and decorated solider at the time of his discharge from military duty. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Terrebonne Parish Library. He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
