Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in Rogers-Matherne Cemetery. He is survived by two sons, David Toups of Houma and Charles Toups of Gray; three daughters, Janice Rembert of Gray, Joan McCaa and Melanie Pitre of Bayou Blue; two sisters, Dorothy Olivier of Houma and Betty Delacerda of Lafayette; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Joseph Toups Jr. and Mayola Bergeron Toups; one daughter, Jocelyn Toups; and one brother, Melvin J. Toups. He was a retired welder with Quality Shipyard and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
