Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Prayer service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Stella Marie Luke Broussard of Houma; one son, Simon P. Broussard and wife, Smokie, of Houma; one brother, Eno Broussard of Houma; one half-brother, Alfred Comstock of New Orleans; seven grandchildren, Jennifer R. Broussard, Mike J. Broussard, Brian Broussard, Jacob Broussard, John Broussard, Cade Broussard and Hannah Broussard; and his special family friend, Christian Latge' of Aix-En-Provence, France. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean Baluce Broussard and Ella Delcambre Broussard; and one son, Darryl J. Broussard. He was a lounge owner and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a past insurance salesman for American General, past Texaco employee and a retired businessman. Through his love of people this enabled him to touch many friends worldwide. In his younger days he earned a boxing scholarship to Loyola University and was passionate about boxing his entire life. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
