Vergie Christensen					[Photo]

Vergie B. Christensen, 70, a native of Venice and resident of Thibodaux, died 
Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005.

Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time 
Saturday at Thibodaux Funeral Home. Religious services will be at 11 a.m. 
Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.

She is survived by three sons, Timmy Joseph Gonzales, Bobby Joseph Gonzales and 
Ronnie James Christensen; one daughter, Cindy Ann G. Ryles; six brothers, James 
E. Buras, Farrell A. Buras, Larry Steve Fitzgerald, Robert L. Fitzgerald, John 
C. Fitzgerald and Danny Wayne Fitzgerald; four sisters, Lois Theresa Buras, Ann 
F. Carter, Kim F. Smith and Sandy Fitzgerald; eight grandchildren; seven great-
grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester James Christensen; her 
fathers, Anthony D. Buras and John W. Fitzgerald; her mothers, Marie Elizabeth 
Reese and Myrtle Gaudet Fitzgerald; one son, Danny Joseph Gonzales; one brother, 
Leroy Joseph Buras; and one sister, Rosemary Theresa B. Squarsich.
